Dually Halter Safety

Please upload your photo 100 lessons completed

I use a Dually Halter to load my horse into the trailer. Is it safe to travel her in it, (tied to the back ring of course)? I'm jsut a bit worried that the schooling rings might get caught on something. Any comments would be appriciated.
Thanks,

I've let Nalle travel in the Dually and it has worked fine. That said, I had the same worries you have, and I've tried to make sure the rings can't get hooked on anything.
I've also tried to fold them back and tuck them in so they don't hang loose.
Also, Nalle has always been a very quiet and calm traveler, so he is less likely to get in trouble than a more nervous horse.

Per the MRILC:
Traveling in it is fine as long as clipped on below and you can tuck the training ring through the nose band strap to keep it from dangling. Also make sure no thing in the trailer that ANY kind of halter can get caught up on – e.g. hinges, hooks etc.

We pick up and travel horses in them all the time and haven’t had any issues
