This is a lesson that would probably bring tears to anyone's eyes. I learned a lot about dealing with a phobic horse that has been in an abusive situation.

Yes, seeing a horse begin to trust is such a deep and emotional thing to witness. Even witnessing the act of Join-up itself chokes me up some times.

Watching this lesson was interesting in many ways. Just watching Monty Getting the Horse to pony was very Educational.

The Centaur Concept Makes Total Sense. The Horses I have Ponied Get Very Friendly to me while I am resting during the Process. It was still Amazing the trust he got very quickly, But then he is Monty.

I would like to see a lesson where he has more time to work a horse in this fashion. It is Fun to see Monty when he is Excited about Helping a Horse In Need

I guess Monty's answer to the use of a twitch on a horse is found in this Centaur Series. I just finished watching these videos and I was spell bound the whole time I was doing so. Like Monty I have experienced first hand the cruelty that is still dealt out to horses by some trainers who refuse to accept kinder training methods. I certainly can relate to the agony of witnessing horses with their hind leg tied up around the neck for hours with the rope cutting into the flesh and causing bleeding and subsequent scars for life. If your horse has scars on its hind legs approximately 3-6 inches above the hock area then it is possible that it was broken in this way. Like Monty I just wish more horse breakers were willing to listen and learn so this cruelty could be stopped. The cruel training methods do not just break in a horse they break a horse for life and sometimes leave the horse spiritless. I feel it is important for us all as Monty's students to reject these cruel methods and speak out against them whenever we can.
