I have to say i am sooooo excited about this series!!!! I love the idea of liberty work but i really don't like the way it is done and the equipment used ie the whips and very heavy snaps on the lead ropes. I will be waiting eagerly for the video where we see Florian does his thing. I think this man may be about to change the horse world much like Monty has.

Me too!!!
Star was trained at liberty for two years but I never hit her or used heavy snaps.
She was free as could be, no lead lines. Mostly I used my body language, perhaps that is why she is so sensitive to my movements.
Her whips were only used as an extension of my arms.
I can't wait to see Florian do this !!!!
I'm happy they will be in small sessions, that way I can digest them easier.[loss of brain power:), getting too old]

The little tid bit of the Rope in his training is causing me much anticipation.

Finally got the opportunity to try out Florian's pressure technique today. I was able to teach him in 30 minutes what I wasn't able to teach in several weeks. My gelding is the kind of horse that doesn't really care about much, he's not flighty or sensitive at all. So getting him to move away from pressure is not really easy. He's kind of a lazy horse, but I like a horse that doesn't jump at every little thing. It was interesting that he actually responded better to the "move over" body language then he did to the push with the hand. I'm really grateful for these new techniques especially with a horse like mine that's not always very responsive. In fact when we were done and I was putting his tack away, I needed to get his saddle of the back of the 4-wheeler and he was standing next to it in my way so I lightly pushed on this flank and over he went. Very cool!

I did the same work with STAR and she responded to it very positive.
I saw such a difference when I kept my hand on her, she now stand still so much better.

This type of communication is right in line with Monty's teachings! I am so grateful to Monty for bringing us Florian's methods and I can hardly wait to work on these exercises with my horses. Liberty training seems to be a positive way to spend quality time with your horse. Engaging the horses mind, as well as their body. I am sure this will do nothing but help build the relationship between horse and human. Thank you, Flo and Monty!

Florian is brilliant!I have learned so much with this new lesson! My wrists find the Dually way too harsh and heavy and I liked this method much more!So light and kind.
I will certainly subscribe to Florian's online site should he create one! And yes,Huge Well Done for Monty Roberts for introducing and promoting him as the next generation!Next thing is Monty's online store to make us soft rope with tassle,or will a curtain cord do! Yey!R

Sasafras...first off, I must say my jaw dropped when I saw your name. This past fall, our dog of 13.5 years had to be put down :( Her name was Sassy...but, for a nickname, we called her Sasafras. I always thought it was a name that we'd invented, I smile whenever I see your name...Thank you :)

Second, I love the Flo lessons! Back in December, I was offered the free one day pass to Monty's Uni. I quickly grabbed up the offer! I watched all the Into Pressure vids along with many others. So I had already started my mare with the moving away from pressure. She's so good at it, all I have to do is stand beside her an lift my arm towards her and she moves. Only problem, sometimes I DON'T WANT HER to move!!!! This YIELDING to pressure is SOOO great. I tried it on her the other day, and she went around and around and around, because I kept my hand there. It will be so nice when she figures out that just because my hand is there does NOT always mean I want her to move away :)
