Made a Pony and a Childs day Special. Today while visiting with a friend who took me to see her stallions foal (Joeys new sibling) After enjoying the new foal we watched as the grand daughter was trying to catch her pony. She keep running her Pony because it wouldn't come. This was what they learned from the clinition they follow. At some point they told the girl to turn around and the horse would come. Well the girl stood facing the other direction and the Pony stood there staring at her. The pony was just waiting for some direction. Nothing happened. Seeing this was going no where I went toward the field asking the girl to circle. She circled big, arms swinging staring at the pony. The pony stood there and stared at her. I asked her to stop when she was facing away from the pony. I asked her to circle again only smaller. She started to circle, I told her to put her hands in her pockets, she laughed and said there are no pockets. :O) She smiled when I said pretend there are. Then I asked her not to look at his eyes. She looked confused, so I told her to look down. The pony lowered his head a bit as she finished her circle. The pony was still planted in his spot. So I asked her to make a smaller circle then before. She made her circle eyes down and hands quietly in front of her. She finished her circle facing away from the pony, stopped and waited. The pony started for her, and she flinched. I told her to wait for him. Sure enough he walked up behind her and touched her shoulder. The girl was wearing a Giant Smile as she turned around and rubbed the ponies face. She rubbed the pony then went for a halter and lead. When she returned the pony met her at the gate offered to put his head in the halter before she was ready.
== This experience was so heart warming and reminded me of several Join-Up videos here on the Uni. It is amazing how you store this information to slip out when a child needs to absorb it like a sponge.

Well done! That is the best way to teach and learn, people usually find it boring when you try to explain join up, horse psychology, etc. But when you show them, they understand it better and even start teaching others :)

What a lovely experience Amberpony and well done. Seems you are keeping yourself well occupied as you wait for Joey's return as a reformed horse. Lucky little girl to have your help and to have experienced this.
