Hi. Well now you know what to ask for when birthday or Christmas comes around. Parents love to invest in the education of their children. The Uni is not expensive and you will gain a great deal from it, not just in how you relate to horses but in your human relationships too. I live in Scotland. Monty only does one demo up here a year but where you are he does several that you could get to. He will be back in October. I don't know, save up pocket money for the tickets. The demos are a great night out, even for people who are not horse bonkers! Take care.

It is a gripe of mine Jo that the UK tours always focus on the South of England with Scotland and the North of England getting 1 visit if they are lucky and Wales has NEVER to my knowledge been part of the tour. I have commented about this twice to Kelly Marks but sadly nothing changes. I really would like to see the tour widened. Debbie, if you are reading this can you please ask your wonderful Dad to visit Wales and Scotland more often please :-)

When I went to my first demo I made a point of speaking to both Kelly and Monty. It was not just general stuff about how much I was in awe of the work that they do and would they please sign this or let me have a photo of them; I told Kelly that I had been on the committee of Edinburgh and District Riding Club for three decades and was now working to use this to spread the violence free message. To Monty I said that he Uni was great but some horse owners were on a real budget and to find £60 was a big ask. I suggested a monthly payment would be more affordable. Guess what, the Uni changed, quite possibly because of totally different circumstances. If you want Monty in Wales can I suggest that you contact the welsh riding clubs with a view to getting people who agree with you to sign into the Uni and use this forum to show the support for a welsh demo. The Uni is an expensive operation and demos need to have significant support, perhaps 800+ in the audience. If the people of Wales show willing to support a demo and a suitable, central venue is available then there is a good chance it would happen. God helps those who help themselves. Drum up support and suggest a couple of possible venues you have approached with this in mind and it is much more likely to happen. If like minded individuals pull together, miracles can happen.
