Question about Courses

Hello! 100 lessons completed 150 lessons completed 200 lessons completed 250 lessons completed 300 lessons completed

Does anybody here know whether I can take the certification courses alone to start a career with horses or do I have to do all of Monty's courses listed there? Some of them cost ALOT of money!!

Hi Horse addict,
I think you need to complete the certifiacation courses and then do an internship at Flag is Up Farm. Read the description of the Certification courses on the Monty's website that outlines it pretty well.
I do not beleive you have to take all the courses offered. I took the introcdtory class in Feb. 2011 and it was wonderful.
Good luck !!
let me kno what you decide to do.

Hi Horse Addict
.
Yes, you need to do the Intro Course, then the Advanced Course and then an Internship in order to have a career with horses Monty Roberts style - you don't have to do all of the others.
.
You could still have a career with horses without being a Monty Roberts Instructor. There are University degrees you can do in horse management and training as well.
.
You are right, the Monty Roberts courses are not cheap, but I reckon they are well worth the effort.
.
I am doing my Intro Course in September this year and can hardly wait!! As I live in Australia, I have to save up the money to go to California to do the Advanced Course and hopefully after I complete that I will be able to do an Internship.
.
And, correct me if I am wrong, but I think you have to be "chosen" to do an Internship. I don't think you can just say you want to do it and enrol. I may well be wrong on that, so anyone reading can feel free to correct me.
.
The way I see it, is that if after I do the Intro and Advanced courses I am not cut out for an Internship, I will have learnt so much along the way it will still be worth the effort I made no matter what.
.
I hope you can find a way to do the Monty Roberts Certification courses if that's what you really want to do. Richandi is right in that the description on the Certification courses on the website is pretty good.
.
Best of luck :-)
.
Kind regards,
.

Thanks Gen and richandi! I do really want to take the certification courses, as soon as I can find a job so I can earn enough money. Don't know where I could get a sponsor.

Yes Gen & Horse Addict, you must be SELECTED to do an internship, if Monty does not feel you are stong enough in his concepts. Usually he will ask you to do work at home and send him video and when he feels you are at a level of knowledge that is acceptable to him, then you would be invited to intern with him.
