About This Week’s Lesson

Spooky Kadina

Hello! 100 lessons completed 150 lessons completed 200 lessons completed 250 lessons completed

Hi I remember Kadina from the special training 2009. She was so big for a baby and so not interested in learning. I remember the loading story just to get her to the farm. Just to see her move from being spoiled, bargey and having poor ground manners, to a filly who wanted to around people and was learning her manners very quickly. I think one of the first things I learned that was important to me was stay calm, breathe and take the tension down to nothing. This is a lesson that can be used in every situation in my life. Job, kids, relationships animals. Great life lesson. Thanks for showing the way. P.S.You should show Kadina loading and asking the guy who brought her to the farm, if he would like to try loading her now. Maggie Evans Special training 2009

Kadina is home and doing well! she was not handled much as a foal and from the get go decided she wanted to pull back and not tie.She was not good for the farrier and would bolt every time we walked through a gate. She has done nothing but progress since coming home from Montys special clinic! She walks over bridges, over poles, through puddles, jumps right in the trailer, goes to the beach for walks and is accepting a bareback pad.She has made amazing improvements and we use the join up technique with her on a regular basis! She is on her way to being an amazing under saddle mount and will go on to be sold and become an awesome dressage mount or jumper!Katie:)
