I am working with a young quarter horse. He has been mounted now sometimes and gets better. Two days ago and a little less today something was wrong, he was much more nervous and started to bite in the rope and my clothes. Yesterday he was completely calm and did not bite at all. My interpretation is a reaction of displacement. Today he was unhappy with the bit, when I removed it he did much better. Your opinion?

A friend has taken a video of one of the days mentioned above. This day the rider was the discomfort and the biting the displacement reaction. Without the primary stress the correction of the biting is very easy, the displacement reaction seems much more difficult to manage.
