Hello all
.
I have been looking all over to find a pacifier mask like the one used in the Walter Won't Go Forward lessons and have finally found a site where they can be purchased. Here is the link:

.
They are $88 Australian. I didn't see them in the Monty Roberts Store.
.
See you later,

Hello!

Do you think this pacifier would work on my gelding he only four and will not have his teeth done and keeps rearing. I have done join up and dually work and he is very good and response very well but when we tried to get his teeth done he was fine till dentist started to use the rasp. I can not think what I can do to make this experience easier for him. Any suggestions....

Hi Vivien
.
This may be a silly question, but did the Dentist give your horse a sedative? The one we use here sedates the horses before he commences his work which seems to make the whole experience a lot easier for them to deal with.
.
Kind regards,
.

Hi all Aussies! You can buy pacifier masks from horse racing supplies shops - my friend bought a pacifier there for about $40.
Hope that helps too!

In 2020, I found them by searching "Zilco race hood" or "Zilco hood with mesh goggles." They seem to be $69.95 and up, plus shipping.  Lots of price variations. Be sure to look for the kind with the mesh - many are open in the eye area.
