Interspecific communication

I read a new expression (new for me): interspecific communication. It means communication between different species: flower and bee, dog and man, horse and man. It is only a word but describes exactly our communication with horses. Looking at the dog of my wife I realized that this communication is bidirectional but not the same. The dog is much better in reading the body language of my wife than vice versa, this may be the case also for horses.

*LOL* You betcha they are! :D
Oh, you just made me remember the little dog I had once. She was so alert to my smallest movement or just how I inhaled. Made me aware of how I change my breathing; if I just sigh or intend to get up out of the couch.
Animals in general - I believe - are experts in body language. We - the humans - have forgotten a lot about it. Thank God for people like Monty Roberts, who not only managed to learn it, but also to teach it!
