What are the benefits of doing Join Up before riding?

Many Thanks

Hi zeby,
Try to imagine being on the same team after Join-up, so when the horse is with you, he'll feel safer and more secure. Doing follow-up you'll establish and deepen the bond between the two of you. Chances are good that your horse will behave in a more responsible way, should anything frightening come on it's path when ridden. He will know he's in his small herd and less likely to spook or be a danger to himself and his rider. This is the horsy side of the medal, I'm sure you'll feel different too, after Joining-up with your horse. He has chosen you as his partner, so you he'll rely on you to be his leader.
Try and see the difference!
Miriam
