Today we had the wonderful Bronwen out to help. All I can say is wow :) I actually lead my pony!!!!! Ok to some this is not big news or even important but to me it is HUGE :) We also think that that ears back thing is a "default" setting for Tiny :) He did try to mug us for treats but after 5 tries he gave up and realized that there were none and the rest of the session went well. I am so proud of Tiny and myself (unusual thing for me to say as self esteem is usually rock bottom) and I can't wait to do my homework and to seeing the fantastic Bronwen again! Oh and I am working on my breathing!!
Whilst Bronwen was here we asked for her help with Gunner my daughters pony who was having a few issues with saddle and girthing up in particular and again we had a great success.
So Imogen (daughter) and I are in great moods and will no doubt be boring you all with our stories!!
Little steps brings success :)

Hi, that it fantastic to hear Sarah, and you are right to all be proud of yourselves. Looking forward to hearing about all the developments. So glad you found Bronwen :-)
Thanks Vicci - we are so pleased to have found Bronwen - she is so good and is a fab teacher to both horse and handler. She has also recommended a new farrier and a riding instructor so things are really looking up here. I even took a picture of Tiny tonight, something that I haven't done much of so I will try to find a way to upload it to here so you can see my boy!
Now I am off to learn more from Montys videos :)

Don't ever say leading a horse properly isn't important! It is a *fundamental* thing that absolutely MUST work for any kind of safe handling.
Only people who never had to muddle through the horror of having a horse raising objections to be towed about in a rope, thinks it is peanuts to do so.
.
It truly is a HUGE step for you both, and you are so right to be proud of yourself and Tiny. Keep up the good work and fingers crossed that new found self esteem will keep rising and bring you more success.
So happy for the two of you!
Aw Kicki what a lovely thing to say :) It really is a huge step for me. I was shaking like a leaf today before Bronwen came but by the end of the session I was laughing and smiling so much :) Tiny was so good and now I know about his ears and am looking for other signs that he is ok I feel so much more confident. When I went to feed him tonight he came up and had a rub on his neck - he has never wanted to be near me before! So happy :D xxxx
Excellent Sarah, you'll go far with your Kindness Training :) Really don't worry about saying you're boring us, we love hearing how things are moving forwards for you and being apart of your journey. Remember too, what you post will be of value to other readers that might read the forum, but not post in it.
Well done!!
