Willing partners

It would be great if Monty could do a couple of series of videos on how he selects then trains his horses for his Willing Partners program. The first series could be based on the selection process and the second on the training. Perhaps he could take one of his successful horses from the time it was purchased through the program of training. That would be so great for andyone wishing to purchase a reliable horse and for all of us who have young horses we are trying to train. I am hoping that someday my Tricka will be a beautiful quiet Pony Club horse but she has a long way to go.

Oh, yes Maggie that is a great suggestion! I have been wondering about this myself :-) A series of lessons on this process would be fantastic!

Have you guys seen the facility that is used for training these horses or how he goes about picking them out.
It's a long process, he says out of the hundres he and Pat look at only a small amount are kept for the training.
Then the amount decreases as the training is in process because he can tell if their personalities will be acceptable.
They have to be able to pull as well as drive.
They are put on a platform the teeters back and forth. They are made bomb-proof.
It's wonderful to watch.
There is avideo on willing partners, a good watch and learning feature.
I believe it would take a whole University just to teach us amatures how this can be done. It would surely take a lot of different people to be involved in each stage.
And of course the right horse!
I found it interesting.

Good idea. Hopefully they will get something out. I did the same suggestion a while back.
